Baby dolls -

It's June 10, 2012. You aren't here yet, but your arrival is getting closer every day (thank God - you are wearing your momma out already!). It's hard to believe it was just a year ago that your dad and I decided we were going to do everything medically possible to have you. I'll tell you all about it one day, when you are older, if you decide you want to know about it. Suffice it to say, your dad and I wanted you very, very badly and we had to work very hard to get you. We have loved you since the day we found out you were ours and we can't wait to meet you. It's so soon now!!! Here's a little history on what's been going on since we found out you were coming.

We found out we were expecting you on November 21, 2011, right in the middle of football season (which we can't wait for you to experience - it's so much fun!). Your dad and I LOVE Alabama football and we try to go to all the home games. The last big game we went to before we found out we were expecting you was on November 5, 2011. Alabama played LSU during the regular season. It was a very close game but Alabama ultimately lost. Here is a picture of us from the tailgate before the game:

Thankfully, the regular season LSU loss was Alabama's only loss of the 2011 season and we got another chance to play LSU in the National Championship game later in the year. Alabama beat the heck out of LSU in that title game and won the National Championship - Coach Saban's second championship in three years (he also won in 2009, when Alabama beat Texas). We saved the newspaper from the day after the game and will show it to you one day (if you care to see it, anyway).
